The Sinagua people lived in these impressively preserved cliff dwellings for over four centuries. Taking I-17 to where it ends in the northeast, you can then take AZ-179 north to Sedona along the Red Rock Scenic Byway, which has about seven miles of beautiful scenery, such as red sandstone rock formations.
