The process of paper-making begins with harvesting trees. Trees are cut down and transported to the paper mill, where they are debarked and turned into wood chips. The wood chips are then cooked in a mixture of chemicals, including caustic soda and sulphuric acid, to break them down into a pulp. The pulp is washed, bleached, and refined to make it ready for the paper-making process. Nowadays, many paper mills such as JK Paper are opting for sustainable paper making by agro/social farm forestry instead of cutting natural forest trees to make writing and printing paper.
