Marldon MXA100 hybrid wood floor adhesive is a superior strength single-part silane based adhesive – the premium adhesive in the Marldon wood floor adhesive range.
MXA100 can be used for bonding all types of wood flooring – including solid planks/strip, parquet, mosaic, engineered and finger parquet. This adhesive’s superior qualities mean it can be applied without priming to most common substrates.
This hybrid adhesive is compatible over most substrates including sand & cement screeds, concrete, Anhydrite (Calcium Sulphate) screeds, stone, timber, Marldon MXS140 Rapid DPM and Marldon MXS150 MVS Primer.

For compatibility confirmation with the underfloor heating system present and other uncommon substrates, please contact Technical services.
● Superior Strength
● Hybrid adhesive for bonding all standard and oversized solid planks as well as parquet
● Can be applied without priming to most substrates
● High initial grab and peak formation

Follow these simple steps to prepare your hardwood flooring before using Marldon MXA100 adhesive:

1. Ensure the subfloor is flat, clean, sound, dry and free from contaminants that may hinder adhesion, this includes, paint, varnish, polish, old adhesive residues and plaster spots.
2. Subfloor must be ****ed for moisture.
3. Existing wooden subfloors must have an intact base DPM.
4. The subfloor should be ****ed in accordance with British Standards, using a properly calibrated and insulated hygrometer.
5. To comply with BS 8201 a reading of 75% (65% with UFH) RH or less confirms that the subfloor is satisfactorily dry. Where this has not been attained, it is necessary to apply a Marldon surface membrane to suppress residual moisture. For further information contact Technical Services.
6. Ensure the timber is acclimatised in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions in the environment in which it is to be laid.
7. Always allow an expansion gap against all fixed objects to allow for natural movement of the wood when bonded.
8. Fully compatible with Marldon Strata Acoustic underlay System, please refer to separate Technical Data Sheet.
9. Mechanically remove all surface treatments on concrete bases. Lightly abrade Calcium Sulphate substrates to remove any surface laitance.
10. Repair any deep indentations in the subfloor with a compatible smoothing compound or repair mortar.
11. If necessary apply a suitable Marldon smoothing compound at a minimum thickness of 3mm, see relevant Technical Data Sheet for full information.
12. Not recommended for use over existing floor coverings.
