Callitris intratropica oil is produced in Spain and it’s essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of needles and leaves of the tree. It is a small evergreen tree, 4–12 m in hight, with a trunk up to 50 cm diameter. The leaves are scale-like, 2–6 mm long and 0.5 mm broad, intersect each other to form an X, are in whorls of three on very slender shoots 0.7–1 mm diameter.
