PvP islands. They're always available or scheduled, but there's always PvP combat within these islands. You can recognize them by their crossed swords icon in the maps.

Adventure islands. Special co-op-related events that occur only a handful of times per day.

You've reached your very first tiny island. What's next? Even though every Lost Ark island is unique, they'll usually open to some or all of the following:

Complete quests. Sometimes, it's a clear exclamation marker on the map but the quests can also be obscured.

Visit merchants and NPCs. A lot of islands have merchants and NPCs. The latter come with different rewards, so don't leave before you've checked out.

Collect Mokoko Seeds. Yes, you'll see the small bugs all over the Lost Ark islands as well. Since the maps aren't large the islands usually have between two and five Seeds per island.

Engage actively in PvP combat. In addition, certain islands are open to PvP.

You can collect the Island Soul. The reward by completing an island. Sometimes it's about the increase of Rapport with an local NPC or other time, you must complete the quest line or complete a PvP challenge.
