Three takeaways from the Cowboys Vs. Panthers Madden Simulation

The Dallas Cowboys won their first Madden season winby defeating the Carolina Panthers 28-21. This was due to a well-balanced approach. Dak Prescott was skilled in throwing the ball, while Ezekiel Elliott was the dominant player on the ground. The victory was Dallas the first winner of the Madden simulated season and what else can the game reveal?

3. Dak Prescott had surgery

Prescott completed 18-20 passes for two touchdowns. He also stayed clear of costly turnovers, which cost Dallas in the previous two simulations. After an eight-yard loss at 1st and 10, that put Dallas in a tough spot close to midfield, Prescott's lone two errors were made on consecutive passes.

While Dak was in his running, Ezekiel Elliott set the tone early on.

2. Ezekiel Elliott was the one to blame for the offense.

Dallas The first drive of the game was a grind 'em down affair. They smashed Elliott's clock, moved the chains to the side of Elliott's running and then punched it into the endzone to score the first goal. The lead was extended with an uncharacteristic one-yard touchdown by Elliott. Carolina might have pressed late in order to keep things interesting, however due to the advantage Dallas constructed with Elliott managing the ball as the Panther offense was compelled to focus on one aspect.

Elliott completed his day with 122 yards and 22 carries. This is a respectable score of 5.5 per head. Prescott was capable of running more smoothly because Elliott struck the hole with a hammer every time. The result was an unforgettable day for the pair however it wouldn't have been possible had it not for Elliott's huge day, as the first two weeks of Sims 3 showed us.

1. Dalton Schultz is a legitimate receiver for the Dallas offense

It was almost poetic to observe Dalton Schultz record a big game against the Panthers since he'd just enjoyed such a big night against Philadelphia. With two touchdown receptions it was a regular occurrence for him to get loose and then was able to drag defenders around for extra yardage.

His first score was particularly impressive, showing the most effort, as he made adjustments to a pass that was behind him . He then turned back the other approach to take his ball across the goal line. The second goal was pure power, ripping through the Panthers safety to increase the lead back to 14 with only three minutes remaining.
